Decorating The Thanksgiving Dinner Table

On this week’s edition of Friday Favorites, it’s all about decorating the Thanksgiving Dinner Table. I’ve compiled some of my favorites from dinnerware, to serve ware, to decorating the table!

  1. Starting off strong with this dinnerware set. It’s a dark brown stoneware and looks so elegant for a fall dinner party. I love the warmth and durability and think it’s a great base to all the fall decor that is present on a Thanksgiving dinner table.
  2. I love this gold flatware as everyday flatware in my home. It actually washes really well in the dishwasher (which is must for us), but looks more modern & high-end than silver flatware. And for the price point of $20 for a serving set of 4, you cannot beat it!
  3. These washed looking plaid cloth napkins bring the fall vibes without looking like you cut-up a lumberjack’s flannel and slapped it on your table. I actually picked these napkins first before anything else. I think the colors and print helped me determine a color scheme for the table, and allowed the other elements to fall into place.
  4. It’s important to have a balance of textures on the table. I love the vibe these dark wooden candle holders bring. They also look a little sculptural, which is cool and can be a conversation starter.
  5. Candles are one of the easiest and cheapest ways to decorate and create a vibe for a dinner party. I love decorating with taper candles, but hate when the wax drips and gets everywhere! These dripless taper candles are a must! I also love the color and spiral look.
  6. When I’m thinking about hosting, I not only want the individual place settings to look cohesive with my theme, I want my serve ware to also fit the vibe of the party. This scallop serving dish is one that could be used for a fancy dinner party, or a casual girl’s night snack tray. Love the scallop detail and the price point! 😉
  7. Just like the serve ware, you want the utensils to be cohesive. This wooden serving set is so fun, and I love how the spiral handles tie into the spiral tapers.
  8. I’m not one to buy a bunch of holiday specific serving dishes. We don’t have a ton of storage space, so it doesn’t make sense to have an item holding up space for 10 months out of the year, but I couldn’t pass up this pumpkin dish. The color is so good, and would look great on the dinner table with a side of mashed potatoes, or on Halloween night to hold the candy for the kiddos!
  9. I mean these are just too cute. I couldn’t pass up the turkey placecard holders. It’s literally screaming Thanksgiving!
  10. If you’ve read any past posts, you know I’m a big faux stem lover! These maple stems are the perfect color for the table scape.
  11. My last item should have actually been one of the firsts! This wood board is perfect for a pre-dinner charcuterie or snack board. The bowtie detail is so cute! This would also make a great decor piece for the kitchen!
