How to Style Beside the Stove

The kitchen is one of the most used spaces in our home. I love to cook and bake, but also love to walk in and see everything put in its place. I’ve created a couple little nooks in the kitchen that are functional, but also pretty to look at. Beside the stove top I have a marble tray that holds a copper salt & pepper mill, a ribbed olive oil dispenser, a salt cellar (for when you need just a pinch), and a small piece of art.

The copper salt & pepper mill are beautiful, but also serve a purpose. They look great on display, but also a decor piece. The ribbed olive oil vessel is made of glass and adds a textural moment. The salt cellar is used everyday to season veggies or pieces of meat. I layered all of the functional items with a piece of inexpensive art that would not hurt my feelings if it got ruined by pasta sauce. 🙂

How to Style the Coffee Bar

We are definitely coffee people in this household. Morning, mid-day, or even an evening cup of joe is never off the table, so we wanted a designated space for all of our coffee essentials. When I found this marble tray at Anthropologie, I fell in love with the deep green color. I used this as the base to hold all the coffee essentials. I added a glass canister for the ground coffee, a small bowl to hold these gold stir spoons, a glass dish to hold sugar, and this grecian pot with faux stems.

Having all the essentials right next to the coffee pot makes the mornings a little easier. Plus, it elevates the space and doesn’t compromise on functionality!
