5 simple Fall decor ideas

When the ‘ber months come around I start to get insanely excited for all that is to come! The signs of a season changing: crisp air, pumpkin patches at every turn, the smell of a fire pit rolling, layered sweaters & warm apple cider are just a few things that bring me immense joy. Fall is arguably the one of the best times of the year and I love to create a warm and cozy vibe in my home. Here are 5 easy ways to add Fall decor to your home to create that same coziness!

  1. Faux Stems

Adding fall stems is one of the easiest and quickest ways to start the change of the season inside. I have collected several variations of faux & persevered stems throughout the years & love to add them to every vase and vessel for that instant color pop.

If you don’t want to spend the money on faux florals, just grab a pair of clippers and step outside! Branches tend to last longer than floral stems, so go out into the great outdoors and see what Mother Nature has to offer!

2. Signature Scent

The smells of fall can instantly make a space feel cozier. Scents like apple, spice, & fig are what I gravitate towards during the season to help create that Fall vibe in the house. I tend to pick one or two scents that I rotate and this one is a favorite. I don’t love a pumpkin scent, as I find it to be overpowering, but this candle has crisp and clean apple scent that everyone loves.

This is another favorite. It has a muskier smell, but I prefer that over the sweet scents that can overtake the room.

3. Throw Blanket

If the Fall season had a signature print, then plaid would be it. A plaid textile thrown over a sofa or chair is a small way to make a big impact. I found this one at Target this year, and love it draped over the sofa and layered with throw pillows. If you don’t have a plaid or checkered throw blanket, try using what you have on hand! Textiles help create warmth in a room that conincides with the season.

4. Pumpkins

As I mentioned in this post, I try to be intentional with holiday decor. I love to decorate with pumpkins, but it has to make sense for my space. A curated collection of pumpkins made of wood, marble, and mixed metals help keep the fall decor in my home in line with my everyday decor.

5. Seasonal Fruits

I love to bake, but I really love when it’s time to start incorporating the cooler weather fruits. Apples, pears, and figs paired with cinnamon, clove, and cardamom makes my heart sing. Apples and pears in a decorative bowl on the kitchen counter is a budget friendly way to cozy up the space. Artichokes are also a beautiful produce item to add to your kitchen counter!
